Uncle is former NBA player Isaac Austin
Austin’s tremendous size and skill make him special. He is mobile and runs the floor very well. He’s basically a freak who has extended his range even further since his junior year. And on the perimeter he can is a match up nightmare because of his ball handling at 7 foot tall he can get to the basket like a small forward with a clear path. Although he can play on the wing, when he balances his play as an inside/out threat he becomes an almost impossible matchup and is fun to watch. He is a good area rebounder on both ends. Defensively he is a nightmare for opponents because of his shot blocking prowess. He’s an eraser.
Austin must put adding strength at the top of his list but it’s difficult to see where he can put more muscle. He has nothing to chisel on his body. Reminds us of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, with his body type. He also must work to hone his back to the basket moves. Consistent production is also a concern. He is becoming a more dominant personality on the court but still has work to do.
